Our Purpose

The purpose of Small Wonder's Mother’s Day Out program at First United Methodist Church Mont Belvieu is to serve families in our community by providing quality childcare in a Christian atmosphere.

In our gentle, caring environment loving teachers provide for the healthy development of your child.  This is accomplished by providing a safe environment, a trusted and caring staff, and an opportunity for socialization and meaningful activities.

Our teachers are here to meet the individual needs of your child—whether softly rocking your infant, helping your toddler to be kind to his neighbor or listening to your preschooler tell her favorite story over and over.

The program uses permanent weekly slots and a monthly fee is charged.  Childcare is divided into the following sections:    

    Nursery (starting at 12 months)
    Toddlers 
    2 year olds  

    3 year olds  
    4 year olds 
    Pre-kindergarten 

Teachers:  The teachers are responsible for observing and evaluating children’s progress.  Our excellent teachers have a wide range of experience and education.  They and the director undergo background checks annually.

This program is governed by the Children’s Ministry Council of FUMCMB.  It is made up of volunteer church members, parents and educators.  You may contact this council through the church office.
